A Million in Africa

Rag hut in Lira, Uganda refugee camp.

Over 6 million people in Africa are homeless or displace. Most are women and children.

Shelter Box is committed to providing humanitarian aid on an on-going basis to peoples around the world. To formalize the initiative for this on-going humanitarian relief, Shelterbox has announced their AMA (A Million in Africa) program which clearly states their goal to shelter 1 million African refugees. We ask all Rotary clubs to make an annual commitment to sponsor at least one Shelter Box per year for AMA. Other organizations, such as church mission groups and schools, are also urged to participate.
