Sunday, October 31: After working with local Rotarians and other agencies, the SRT in Benin made the decision that ShelterBox's assistance is not required at this time. The team are now returning to the UK.

wednesday, october 27: Nearly 700,000 people have been affected by flooding in Benin, Western Africa and are now in desperate need of emergency shelter, food and water.
The floods in Benin have been the worst to hit the country in close to 50 years and show no sign of letting up. Reports for the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) state that emergency shelter is one of the top priorities.
ShelterBox Response Team (SRT) members Chris Donald (UK) and James Webb (UK) will head to Benin in the coming days to assess the scale and the areas of most need.
