ShelterBox meets with Jordanian Red Crescent

At the request of the Jordanian Red Crescent Society a two-man British team from ShelterBox has been in Jordan discussing the potential of a refugee influx. The team is now en route back to the UK.

A spokesperson for ShelterBox said, "As always, if a need for emergency shelter arises, then ShelterBox stands ready to respond."

Disaster preparedness boosts ShelterBox's capacity to respond more efficiently and quickly to disasters around the world. Forming global partnerships is key. ShelterBox's collaborative working style lets the charity engage with a range of different organizations that are integral in helping it provide shelter, warmth and dignity to families who lose everything in a disaster.

ShelterBoxes are also prepositioned in several locations throughout the world to enable immediate response if needed and there is a large stock of equipment in the warehouse at headquarters in Cornwall, UK.
